Lighthouse Child & Adolescent Clinical Training Institute framework is built on three core pillars that support structured professional development in psychological assessment and clinical practice.
Our Assessment Training pillar focuses on developing strong foundations in standardized psychological assessment. Participants learn how to select, administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, and behavioural measures with accuracy and clinical insight.
Our Professional Practice Courses are designed to bridge the gap between theory and applied clinical work. These courses focus on report writing, case formulation, ethical decision-making, and integrating assessment findings into clear, professional documentation.
This pillar provides structured supervision and expert consultation for emerging and practicing professionals. It supports ongoing skill development, case review, and reflective practice.
Lighthouse courses are open to qualified professionals. Eligibility is set by the test-publisher qualification level (A, B, or C) each course requires — not by job title. Registered and provisional psychologists, graduate-level psychology students, and other appropriately trained professionals — resource teachers, social workers, counsellors, and mental health clinicians — are all welcome where they meet the required level. In Alberta, Registered Psychologists qualify at Level C through their registration, even at the master’s level, and Provisional Psychologists are admitted to our assessment training. Level 2 courses additionally require completion of Level 1, so everyone enters with a shared foundation.
Supervision & Consultation is a core pillar of our training model, designed to support early-career psychologists, provisional practitioners, and experienced professionals seeking reflective practice and expert guidance.

Cassandra Hillman White, M.Sc., R. Psych., is a Registered Psychologist and the founder of Lighthouse Child & Adolescent Clinical Training Institute. Her experience includes more than 30 years in psychology and child-focused services, 29 years working with children, adolescents, and families, 26 years conducting formal psychological assessments, 21 years as a Registered Psychologist, 16 years supervising master’s-level interns and provisional psychologists, approximately 15 years providing play therapy, and approximately 7 years working with high-conflict family systems.
